Have you ever wondered how to make those delicious cake balls that are all the rage now?  Well, wonder no longer, our Park Canyon residents can enjoy this yummy snack without leaving their own kitchen.  Check out this easy recipe for making red velvet cake balls.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of red velvet cake mix.  Cook as directed on the box.
  • 1 can (16 oz.)  can cream cheese frosting
  • 1 pkg. of chocolate bark either regular or white chocolate
  • wax paper

Instructions for assembly:  

  1. After cake is cooked and cooled completely, crumble the entire cake into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix thoroughly with 1 can of cream cheese frosting.
  3. Roll mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet. (Should make 45 – 50).
  4. Put the cookie sheet into the refrigerator for several hours to chill the cake balls.
  5. Melt chocolate in the microwave following the directions on the package.
  6. Roll cake balls in chocolate and lay on wax paper until firm.

Now, wasn’t that easy.  Next time you have a party to attend, take alone these delicious cake balls.  They are sure to be a hit.
