It doesn’t matter how much storage space you have in your Park Canyon Apartment home, somehow there is always that drawer that evolves into a collection of disorganized ID-100156447junk.  You know, the drawer in the kitchen or office space where odds and ends can’t seem to find a home.

Here are 5 tips for organizing your junk drawers and keeping the clutter under control.

  • Get rid of all the unused items in the drawer.  If you have old letters or invitation that have a sentimental value, store these items in a shoebox in the closet.
  • Get the cords under control.  Find all the unused cords (extention, phone, electornic, etc.), roll them up nice and need and secure them with rubber bands.
  • Divide the drawer.  Segment the drawer with dividers so that you can store the items you keep in a specific spot.
  • Recycle containers.  Use plastic containers and fill them up with pens, pencils, paper clips, etc.  Have sharp items to store such as push pins?  No problem, store them in empty pill bottles.
  • Maintenance.  As with anything else, without regular maintenance, that drawer can easily turn into another junk drawer before you know it.

Never dig through these drawers again.  You’ll have what you need at your finger tips.
